{Tech: Europe} - Space for Weekend Grinds, More Tech Founders and Upcoming Builder Events

More founder CEOs have a technical background, join The Sandbox on weekends and notable funding rounds.

{Tech: Europe} - Europe’s Builder Community

🧠 Special Thing

Europe needs more ambition. Part of this means putting in the extra hours and grinding through weekends. Especially the latter can be very draining if you’re doing it alone. Good news though - it doesn’t have to stay that way. Join us on weekends at The Sandbox to co-work with other builders. Check out our WhatsApp Community to be part of those weekend grind sessions.

Also the Big Berlin Hack is just around the corner, register here. If you live in Berlin and can host someone over the weekend, please fill out this form.

🇪🇺 What’s happening in Europe?

Europe’s founder CEOs are becoming more technical. What’s a pretty common feature in the US, is now also becoming more widespread in Europe. Lovable, Helsing, Legora or Tacto all have founder leaders which were in engineering roles before. Also the newer wave of hot startups is more and more led by technical CEOs such as Erik Muttersbach at Zauber. Even the founder CEOs that are not engineers, often still come from other tech heavy companies. Take Palantir-alumni led Conduct or Manex. This should inspire more engineers and builders to go out there and start ambitious ventures - you’ve got tailwind.

Elsewhere, more capital is flowing into the HR space. After realising what kind of exits are possible in the space (see last weeks Sana Labs acquisition), more attention seems to be put on HR Tech. Over in Spain, Orbio raised €6m, led by Visionaries Club, to build an AI-native system for enterprise HR teams (they’re hiring founding engineers btw). An employee’s life cycle might still be an interesting space to consider - surely there is still room for new ventures there.

Unsurprisingly but rightfully so, data centres are also attracting a lot of capital in Europe. UK based Nscale raised a $1.1bn Series B led by traditional corporate investors.

🧪 Missions Worth Joining

We’re looking for someone to join our team for 6 months to support both ongoing projects and exciting new initiatives.

This is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the European tech ecosystem: spend half a year gaining hands-on experience, building a powerful network, and working closely with some of the most innovative AI companies out there.

Whether you want to launch your own startup afterward or step into top-tier opportunities with leading AI players, this is the perfect stepping stone.
