🚀 Launches Out of Europe
Restate, built in Berlin by Stephan Ewen, co-creator of Apache Flink, shipped Bring-Your-Own-Cloud: durable execution deployed inside your own VPC, so application data never leaves your infrastructure. Read the announcement here.
Kyrall, out of Munich, launched their AI system that turns engineering specs into parametric, manufacturable CAD models, exporting straight to STEP and STL. Founders Osama Atwi and Ben Stickelbrucks are TUM alumni. Read the announcement here.
Entire also launched something this week: a distributed Git network for AI agents, founded by ex-GitHub CEO Thomas Dohmke. They’ve raised $60M led by Felicis in February.
The Prague-based BottleCap AI just shipped ThinkingCap, a fine-tuned Qwen3.6-27B that cuts reasoning tokens by 46% while holding benchmark accuracy steady, released open on HuggingFace under Apache 2.0. Within two days the community had already built several optimized versions of it for different hardware setups.
