What happened since last Wednesday?

  • Judith Dada, Partner at Visionaries Club, joined Langdock as Co-CEO. They just crossed $40M ARR this week. She's also joining Personio's board. One of the most connected people in the European ecosystem getting back on the operator side is a pretty strong signal about the urgency but also opportunity we have in Europe at the moment.

  • OpenAI dropped GPT-5.6 this week (Sol, Terra, and Luna). It’s apparently not beating the frontier on all benchmarks but it scores well on the ‘US-govt-bench’ (shoutout Charles Maddock) because the rollout is being carefully coordinated with the government before anyone else gets access.

  • Meanwhile, in Berlin: Cognee shipped cognee 1.0, an open-source memory platform for agents. Their bet is that structured context beats raw model capability for most real tasks and memory should be something you actually own and run wherever your agents run.

Where to Go Next

Know a builder who is wasting their talent at a corporate? Forward this to them.

  • Dream Machines builds AI models for robotic arms that let non-technical people automate repetitive physical work in European SMEs. They are based in Zurich and are looking for a Founding ML Engineer to train and ship VLA and world model architectures on real robot data from day one. Send your CV to [email protected].

  • Neuralk builds foundation models for tabular data (structured data LLMs were never designed for). They are Paris-based and hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to own customer integrations end to end and an ML Engineer to work on the model itself.

  • Cortea closed a €12M round led by Dawn Capital and posted new roles this week. They build AI quality agents for audit firms which were already used across 4,000+ audit reports last audit season. They are now looking for a Founding Product Engineer and many more technical roles here.

  • Taktile raised their $110M Series C from Goldman Sachs last week and posted two interesting roles for Berlin on Friday. They build the AI decisioning platform running inside Mercury, Monzo, and Pleo and now want to run the same way internally. These are the first hires dedicated to embedding AI across every team, building on the same stack they ship to customers. High ownership with a direct line to leadership. Have a look here and here.
