🧠 Special Thing
One thing that Europe is lacking less of is momentum. Not only, do we see this at our hackathons (after Berlin this week, our next stop will be Munich - feel free to register) but most importantly in high-profile people betting on Europe. Most notably, former Sequoia Partner, Matt Miller, has launched a new, unique VC firm focusing on the “great founders of Europe“. Evantic Capital will partner with and deploy exceptional operators into their portfolio companies to build the next European champions, while also backing US ventures.

🇪🇺 What’s happening in Europe?
After last weeks Series B announcement, UK-based data center startup Nscale picked up on their momentum and raised another round (“Pre-series C SAFE”), collecting $433m from Blue Owl, Dell alongside Nokia, NVIDIA, and other existing investors. Data centers seem to be creating FOMO in Europe as well now.
In other news, Dash0, the AI-native observability platform which is used by more than 270 companies, raised their Series A. The round, led by Cherry Ventures and Accel, banked the (partly) Solingen based startup $35m to expand their platform.
On the less technical side, Lovable released a full-stack platform, allowing vibe-coders to ship “products” without any third party integrations.
A space that’s also picking up more momentum is deep tech, especially on the investor side. Creator Fund, focused on university spinouts and PhD founders, closed a $41m fund and Serena filled their fourth flagship fund with €200m for energy transition (and applied AI).
